The property
Within the 300-hectare organic estate of vineyards, olive groves and truffle fields, the property covers an area of more than two hectares and offers 360-degree views of the rolling hills of the Tuscan countryside.
With thousands years of history in its walls, Borgo Belsedere offers a glimpse into the rich cultural heritage of the region and captivates with its imperfect, authentic beauty.
At the heart of the complex is our medieval villa, surrounded by a picturesque outdoor area. The historic park connects the inner courtyard, including the chapel and orangery, with the spacious pool area.
Medieval living
The estate has a rich and long history spanning back a thousand years. Over the many centuries of cultivation on the estate, dating all the way back to the Romans and Etruscans, the fertile grounds have produced a mixture of ancient grains, wine and olives.
At its peak, Belsedere was once home to a thriving community of over 200 people, each contributing to the vibrant tapestry of life that unfolded within its borders. It is a place where history whispers stories of ancient civilisations, the rolling hills representing a unique intertwining of present day living and practices dating back to medieval times.
When we took over this historic place in 2023, we have made it our target to bring the estate back to its former glory in a sustainable way.
